Back when I started The Nerdy Type, it was a side project funded by my actual job writing guides for triple A games for a corporate company that didn’t care about the games, only clicks. Now, The Nerdy Type is my sole outlet, and I’m doing everything I can to promote and bolster indie games and developers completely for free with no other income.

I love what I do, and I am incredibly proud of the work I do to help indie developers, even if I’m not on the same level as some larger, more established sites. While those sites will undoubtedly get indie games more views, I’ll give them more heart in what I write – that’s what sets me, and The Nerdy Type, apart.

With that said, I cannot continue to be without an income, and this is the part where I ask for your help. Trust me, I hate this as much as you do.

I can’t offer much in terms of incentives, and I refuse to lock content behind a paywall, because that goes against what I set out to create with The Nerdy Type, but I hope that what I provide is worth giving something in return, even if that’s only a little.
