There are thousands upon thousands of indie games out there that deserve attention from gamers, and many can be grouped into sub-genres to help organize them. Some of these sub-genres are incredibly niche, but that doesn’t make them any less deserving of getting some love. Flower arranging games are one such niche.
Flower arranging games fall under the shop management sub-genre of the cozy games genre. I know, that’s a bit of a mouthful, but all you need to know is that flower arranging games exist, and while you’re not exactly going to be spoiled for choice, there are some games out there for those who just want to make pretty bouquets. It’s a surprisingly sought-after sub-genre!
Puni the Florist

Puni the Florist is an adorable anime-style flower shop simulator, but it has the twist of a flower becoming irrevocably attached to our star Puni through the top of her skull. Imagine Ratatouille, except instead of a rat, there’s a flower up there that gives surprisingly sound advice.
Puni is an office worker who is depressed and wants a simpler life without the commute. One morning, as she’s leaving for work, a flower shop mysteriously appears in her house and she finds herself with a whole new job as the person running it. Through serving customers, she learns floriography and gets to know neighbors she previously didn’t know existed, discovering their stories through requests for intricately designed bouquets.
As you create bouquets and fulfill requests, you’ll unlock new flowers and decorations to use in future bouquets. You can change the orientation and size of each flower, and you can even change how each stem bends to make them fit more seamlessly within the bouquet. Puni the Florist offers a lot of flexibility in terms of style, allowing you to put your own spin on every request.
Puni the Florist is currently under development by Earthquack Games and doesn’t have a full release date yet, but there is a demo for you to download and play. In the demo, you get to meet Puni and her parasitic flower, as well as some of the customers who will frequent the shop.
Flowers and Favours

As with Puni the Florist, Flowers and Favours requires players to fulfill requests from customers, turning their loose ideas into the most beautiful bouquets possible. Flowers can be added to the vase in any order, layers moved up or down, colors changed, and decorated however you like with anything that you have unlocked.
In Flowers and Favours, you have some options to customize the space around you, as well. You can change how the shop itself looks, as well as the bench at which you craft your bouquets, giving both spaces the chance to reflect your style and personality. Then, when your bouquets are picture perfect, you can take a photo of them to keep as a memory of your favorite floral displays.
Every bouquet you create earns you some money. That money can then be taken and spent on new flowers or accessories for your bouquet, opening up new possibilities and attracting customers who want new things. Flowers and Favours is a never-ending floriology learning experience, and it’s absolutely adorable to boot.
Flowers and Favours is currently being developed by MISK Games and is due to release at some point in Fall 2025. If you want to try out this floral arranging fun for yourself, you can do and download the demo right now.
Hanako’s Flower Shop

Hanako’s Flower Shop takes the concept of floriology and applies it in a loosely visual novel setting, allowing you to get fully engrossed in the story and create gorgeous bouquets for a variety of visiting customers. Hanako takes over her grandpa’s renowned florist shop, and must learn how to honor his memory while pushing the florist into the future in her own name.
Hanako’s Flower Shop delves further into floriology by taking each flower and going into detail about their meaning and what they represent. You’ll need to grow flowers in your small garden, and then use those grown flowers to craft intricate and meaningful bouquets for the customers who pay you a visit.
Given its visual novel format, Hanako’s Flower Shop offers less customization of each bouquet, instead allowing you to simply choose flowers that will be included. However, the stories in Hanako’s Flower Shop are more detailed and long-lasting than those in Flowers and Favours or Puni the Florist, so it doesn’t feel like too much of a loss.
Hanako’s Flower Shop was developed by FantaJI Games and was released in full on April 25, 2025, so you can go and get the full game right now via Steam.
